PROGRAM Details

We invite all aspiring travel basketball players to participate in the Fenom Fire Spring 2024 tryouts. These tryouts are crucial for being considered for a spot on the Fenom Fire team this season. Please note that there will be cuts during the selection process.

The Fenom Fire Travel Program is our featured basketball experience, with tryouts mandatory for consideration for placement on all teams. All Fenom Fire travel teams will have up to 12 players per team practicing twice per week for a 60-minute practice and a 90-minute practice. Each team will be entered into four to five tournaments throughout each season. Each tournament weekend will have a minimum of three games (not including any playoff or championship games). The Fenom Fire travel program participates in the Zero Gravity, Live City, and other local tri-state tournaments. Tournament locations vary and are within the tri-state area. Detailed tournament information will be released by Fenom using the GameChanger and TourneyMachine apps. Dates, times, and details are announced at the beginning of the season.

Upon signing up, your child will automatically be enrolled in both tryout dates within their grade range. However, they are required to attend only one tryout session. This means you only go to one tryout, not both. We understand the importance of accommodating busy schedules, so we encourage you to choose the tryout date that best fits your child's availability. The tryout dates are shown below.

FENOM IN-HOUSE BASKETBALL Spring 2024 PROGRAM DETAILS

Our popular In-House League does not require tryouts. Our In-House program is designed perfectly for a beginner who's eager to be more confident in basketball for grades 1-4. All weekly practices are run by professional coaches who focus on teaching fundamental skills. Participants are required to attend a once a week practice, with up to five tournament dates on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m at the Fenom facilities. All participants will recieve official Fenom Fire jerseys and are placed on appropriate teams based on skill level. Sign up for spring in-house basketball below. Program begins April 1st!

Available practice times:

1st grade: Tuesdays and Fridays 3:30-4:30

2nd grade: Mondays 3:30 AND 4:30, Wednesdays 3:30, and Thursdays 3:30

3rd/4th grade: Wednesdays and Thursdays: 4:30-5:30

COACHES

All Fenom basketball teams and programs are run and overseen by outstanding coaches Spencer Ingram and Manny Gago. Our coaching staff believes in teaching overall fundamental skills and learning the game from the ground up.

SPENCER INGRAM

Coach Spencer Ingram has been working with young players for over 15 years. With a focus on transforming players into dynamic team members with exceptional skills, he creates innovative methods of teaching that reach players of all levels. Coach Spencer has an uncanny ability to break down skills for each player, to help them understand the game and bring each player to a higher level of play. His experience is vast, even coaching on a Varsity level. Coach Spencer has a background in working with students who have special needs. This experience brings a level of compassion to his coaching style. He builds players' confidence through competitive team building, which is essential for learning and excelling at basketball.

MANNY GAGO

Manny has been coaching Fenom Fire teams for 7+ years and coaching basketball for over ten years. Coach Manny is a very enthusiastic coach and has an incredible ability to make adjustments. He can hone in on skills that players need to improve upon and create a plan. Manny has coached at legendary Dyckman park in New York City and even led a local Tri-county team to a championship. He has coached several high school teams and is always energetic.
